Off The Grid Stuff

Thanks to the foresight and generosity of the Goraksha Seva Environmental Educational Trust of America (GEETA for short), 13 solar panels now adorn the south facing roof of the Waste Not/Want Not Repair Shop. The electricity generated from those panels—2600watts on demand—is sufficient to power the electrical needs of the Small Farm Guest House and repair shed. Surplus power not needed by either building will be “sold” back to the utility company. Off the grid solar power is one of several GEETA initiatives to build a self-sufficient infrastructure with the use of revenues generated by Marcelis Shale natural gas drilling.
