Urban Gardening Partnership
Residents in The City of Wheeling and on Wheeling Island are alive with green projects. Most notable are the East Wheeling Community Gardens project and the Island Rats Community Gardens. In both cases, vacant city lots are transformed into raised bed vegetable production thanks to the earnest efforts of local residents and area churches. We’re proud to provide technical advice and equipment support to these initiatives. This summer we’re hoping to shuffle back and forth between Wheeling and New Vrindaban Community, sharing energy with our city cousins.
