Workshop Pavilion
It was two years in the making but well worth the wait. The 21’ x 36’ open-aired pavilion seats 40 plus people for teach-ins and show ‘n’ tell styled workshops. It also houses the village bread oven.. All construction materials, with the exception of the metal roof and translucent sky lights, we secured locally: Locust and Tulip Poplar trees for post ‘n’ beam styled framing and a floor fashioned from creek rock. Don’t forget to marvel over the earth ship tire foundation, used tires packed with dirt and stacked like a cinder block retaining wall. It’s a great spot for chilling-out after a sunny tour of the Teaching Garden.
