Accommodations
Exact arrangements for the 2011 agricultural cycle are still being shaped. In the past, apprentices have happily resided in the temple building ashram rooms, men on one side of the building and women on the other. It’s a great experience. You’ll witness the living culture of bhakti yoga as practiced in India for eons of time. Generally, you’ll have an apprentice roommate. The rooms are spartan but adequate. Common bathrooms are a short walk down the hallway.
Congregate meals are served in the ground floor dinning hall. Some students prefer camping out on the western edge of the Garden of Seven Gates. It’s a beautiful site but you’ll need to bring your own tent. Morning can be foggy and cool even in the heat of July and August so bring some warm clothes. We’ll provide access to water and tools for digging a fire pit. Another possible housing option it dormitory styled rooms in the Palace Guest Lodge, located just across the street from the Teaching Garden. We’re still working out the details on this one.
