Myths of modern education
This is going to rattle bones and shake some cages, but it needs to be said. The Western educational model—which has successfully replaced indigenous forms of education throughout the world—is intentionally designed to prepare students for an urban existence, completely dependent on global trade and fossil fuel. It emphasizes theory instead of values. Children are taught from an early age how best to compete. But they are not taught how to live in a truly sustainable society.
